When traveling to a different country we want to help put your mind at ease! Here is some important information to consider as you explore the possibilities of your upcoming adventure.

The Eastern Cape makes up nearly 14% of South Africa and enjoys abundant sunshine throughout the year.
Temperature ranges:
Summer: 16º to 36º C (60F to 97F)
Winter: 7º to 20º C (44F to 68F)
The cooler winter months are ideal for hunting, and we recommend planning your trip during this season. Early mornings can be quite chilly, sometimes dipping below freezing (36F), so a beanie, multiple layers, and a warm jacket are essential.

Fortunately, multiple airlines operate flights to South Africa, providing plenty of travel options. Most international flights arrive at either Johannesburg or Cape Town International Airport. To reach us, you’ll need to book a domestic flight to Port Elizabeth or East London. We generally suggest flying into Port Elizabeth since it's slightly closer by road, but we’re happy to arrange pickup from either location. Additionally, Port Elizabeth is centrally located between Johannesburg and Cape Town.
It’s common for international flights to land after the last domestic flights of the day. In this case, we recommend staying overnight at the City Lodge Hotel at OR Tambo and taking an early flight to Port Elizabeth the next morning. Afton’s meet-and-greet services can help streamline firearm importation and passport control.
Be sure to check that your passport is valid and won’t expire during your trip.
